Prompt #16

We had such a good response to the last prompt with so many of you writing. Thank you all and here are a few for the showcase. If you would like a Special Showcase badge for your blog please get in touch!

Ryan in Yr.3 at Bidston Avenue, Wirral, UK

Sarah in Yr.4 at Al Khor International School, Qatar

Alfie in Yr.1/2 at Galley Hill, Hemel Hempstead, UK

Rebecca in Yr.2 Woodpeckers Class, Brighton, Sussex, UK

Khadidja in &Yr.2 at St Aidan’s VC Primary, London

Oliver in KS1 at Northburn Primary, Northumberland, UK

It is so wonderful to see more entries for each prompt. It does mean though that we need more people to join the team of commentators. Can you help? Spread the word among teachers, parents, grand parents – anyone who can give about an hour a week. They get support so do send them our way either by leaving a comment below or completing a contact form.

This time we have something special for you. It is an animation from The Literacy Shed which is a wonderful site for all sorts of fabulous things to help young people with all forms of literacy. Do go and visit!

In the meantime, watch this:

As usual, you are going to write 5 sentences about what you have watched. I think you will be able to write about some wonderful things. Perhaps you could tell us what you think might happened next or where he was going or what the turtle thought.

Don’t forget to remember those capital letters and full stops.

The link will stay open until 5th June

  1. Hiya,

I have contacted you several times to ask about a showcase badge for my blog as Oliver from Northburn was showcased in the last prompt. I would also like to volunteer to leave comments too. I have tried from a different email now instead of my school one as this seems to get picked up by anti spam.
